Good place to camp if you are wanting to be close to the northern part of Current River, but don't roll in with high expectations for accommodations.
The people were SUPER nice and welcoming so I would go back just because the staff outshined the facilities. The place was very outdated and needed some TLC. Yes, I know it is a campground but the gravel road through the camp was very pitted and the bathrooms were filled with wasps. I love how close they were to Akers and that makes them worth staying there but I do wish that the grass was a little shorter and the bathrooms a little cleaner so that I could give them a 5 star rating for a campground.
Decent little camp ground, I'd only recommend if you have a camper/RV with your own bathroom and shower. The facilities here are terrible and that's an understatement. The good points are very private and usually not full so you have your choice of camping site. Breakfast prices were way to high
Fun place
Good ole fashioned camping. Price is a little high for the amenities offered, but overall it's a great place to spend a night or two.
If you are staying during the week, the on-site store will be closed and you won't likely have bus pickup at the site. But the main office is just a couple miles down the road where there is a small convenience store and bus pickup/dropoff.
I believe that this was once a great place full of amenities, but it does not appear to be maintained. We have had some great memories here, so I will be the last to bash the campground. But the upkeep was very disappointing to say the least. If you have a camper with a toilet and shower, this would be a fine stop. But don't expect to rely on the facilities here.
